“LONGMEN” titanium, natural pearls and diamonds Chinese dragon-carp pendant

LONGMEN

Pendant

Evoking an ancient Asian symbol of courage and success, this leaping carp seizes a marvelous diamond, enhanced with three grey natural pearls.

In China, Longmen cliffs on the Yellow River are a very difficult to cross for the valiant carps leaping up the river. Succeeding to cross them, is to become a dragon!

Even nowadays the Chinese expression “Deng Longmen” (to cross the Dragon Doors), means to accomplish a brilliant career: The “Dragon Carp” symbolizes the success well deserved by efforts, perseverance and obstacles overcome.

Glowing in its iridescent blue titanium scales set with diamonds, our courageous symbol seizes a pendant composed of three grey natural pearls, topped with a superb 1.04 ct. brilliant-cut diamond.

Longmen pendant is a jewel of luck and optimism, illustrating the rewarded efforts.

The anodized titanium brings its lightness, its solidity and vibrating hues, underlined by the diamonds.

Wonders of nature and of the marine world, three natural pearls with an incomparable orient lend their preciousness to this exceptional piece, enhanced by a remarkable round-cut diamond.

Inspired by both Asian and Art Nouveau aesthetics, this piece offers, through the energy of its design and the refinement of its materials, a contemporary vision of an eternal symbol.

SÉLÉNÉ : pearls and gems mix-and-match ear studs

SÉLÉNÉ : pearls and gems mix-and-match ear studs

Bearing the name of the beautiful and bright Greek goddess of the full moon, here are the Séléné pearl ear studs.
A pearl on each ear is a point of light that illuminates the face, like a precious makeup.
I wanted to decline this very classic little ear stud with pearls of colors and slightly varying sizes. Each pearl, mounted in pink gold on Alpa system, is delicately set with a colorful and sparkling gem: diamonds, sapphires, tourmalines, rubies, turquoises … This collection was born with the desire to mix the colors, to mismatch the pairs to create different harmonies that introduce a zest of fantasy in an falsely sober style…

The « Man with pearls »

The « Man with pearls »

A few years ago I had the chance to buy and sell this beautiful portrait of a man of the sixteenth century, probably the effigy of King Charles IX. What I loved in this painting was this pearl-covered costume! What exuberance, what luxury, what sensuality … There is something very “Chanel” in this opulence of pearls worn on a simple and austere garment … And the gentleman who wears it is of an impeccable dignity and elegance. I am rather nostalgic of times when men could dress as much as women, wear jewelry, lace and bright colors without one think to question their virility. Today, the few men who risk to wear pearls, and jewels in general, have my admiration. Giambattista Valli always wears his pearls strand, he wears it with so much naturalness, and that makes him so beautiful and singular! As for Karl Lagerfeld, a great collector of jewelry who masters the art of wearing them in the most masculine way possible. The pearls inspire me, I know from experience that wearing pearls illuminates the face and wakes up any outfit … And most of all they are in my eyes the most civilized way to wear the fruit of the most beautiful wild element: the sea!
Knight ring: a masculine jewel

Knight ring: a masculine jewel

Happy to design for men who love to wear jewelry! I have always been fascinated by antique portraits of men, handsome and virile, yet covered with pearls and diamonds.

Western society has evolved in a way that masculine elegance has gradually abandons the use of precious jewels, reserving them almost exclusively for women. I fight for the male adornment. Nothing is more beautiful than pearls on a man’s neck, nothing more attractive than a handsome man’s hand with a ring.

I drew the ring “Honored” thinking about my son, who loves and understands the jewels. I wanted a model in pink gold of Art-Déco inspiration very sober, rather classic and easy to wear. The pure lines highlight a stone chosen for its brilliance, its joyful and luminous color.

The signet ring “Honoré” comes with various colors of stones. It lends itself perfectly to the loan: wearing a man’s rings from time to time is quite tempting for a woman…
